I recently purchased the EVA version of I AM CARDBOARD's Google Cardboard kit with NFC to use with my Nexus 5 running stock Android 5.0.1, and although I'd been led t believe that Cardboard was practically designed to be used with the Nexus 5, I find that I'm having a few problems, specifically:
Has anyone else experienced these issues with Cardboard on their stock Android Nexus 5? Are there ways to configure NFC tag handling in the stock ROM? Is there any way to make the magnetic switch work better outside of getting a stronger magnet?
- The magnetic switch is hit or miss.
- The phone recognizes the NFC tag, but doesn't do anything with it.
