Lag issues when using amazons controller topic

I have only used Amazon's controller with my fire TV and very well up until recently when I have had unresponsive moments when I stop using the analogue sticks. (I think that's lag) Basically I walk forward and it keeps walking forward for about 2 seconds or more. Is it my controller? I had this issue with GTA on android but then it was fine afterwards on my fire TV. The app I'm using is dues ex. It's a stock Rom few sideloaded apps, on live etc.

Any solution? I'll try on live and see if it happens as well.
