[Q] Write my own Mail Client or extend an exsisting? topic

Hey,

i have to write an Mail Client or extend a existing one. i know both will be not that easy :D . I found the API from the K9 Mail but i wonder is there more than one APP outside that has an API ? and how difficult is it to write his own?
