[Q] ZU won't boot into recovery to flash, but will boot into os and no root topic

I flashed AOSB 1.3.7 and for some reason the gapps package that I had wouldn't flash (it was aborted error status 6 on CWM), so I'm on that ROM with no gapps now I can't boot into recovery it just goes to the Sony logo and then the led light flashes yellow and then it will eventually boot into the ROM. Then o check Supersu and it says I don't have su binary or root. I tried using the Easy Root Tool to gain root again but I keep getting stuck at creating VM. I tried to use flashtool to go back to stock and when I try to attempt to do that it starts the device and loads into the AOSB ROM. Can someone help me?
