I recently switched out the front panel of the phone after my screen cracked.

When I put everything back together, it would not detect the sim card. Also the eject button didn't work for the sim.
I took the back cover off again and reinserted the sim card and it worked.
I put the back cover back on and it won't detect the sim again. I pull it out and reinsert it and it still won't detect it. I notice when I pull out the card, a message pops up saying Sim card not detected.
I notice there is metal pin with a contact point to the back cover. When I removed the back cover, I noticed that was bent. I tried to rebend it back into place. Would that possibly have an effect on the sim?
