How does the sensation camera perform compared to the HTC one M8? topic

Not sure is this the right thread to ask, but oh well. I was rather puzzle not sure should I get another phone as my camera when I'm on sightseeing. As the HTC one m8 picture are rather small in resolution. I don't upload my picture to fb or instagram. But I use it as wallpaper or my desktop picture at times. So I was wondering does the 8mp sensor outperform the 4mp sensor on the m8? AFAIK low light condition would be better on HTC m8 as they have bigger sensor to capture light. Thanks in advance.
