Hi All!
this is actually my first post after lurking around the forums reading post here and there. I can't seem to find a definitive answer nor a solution. I've done several attempts at fixes using what others have posted but it still is a no go.
I'm running an AFTV and have stickmount and foldermount on it. I've checked ESFile Explorer and I can see my SD Card Mounted. I've used Foldermount to duplicate a path to my SD Card for org.kodi.com's files to save the thumbnails and so forth to the card. It looks like it does so BUT i can't seem, for the life of me, to get the video cache to also use the external SD Card when setting the cachemembuffersize to 0. It seems to always save it on the internal harddrive and it's annoying to have to manually clear cache when i'm partially done with a movie.
I have about 2.7GB's of storage, however, when running a 1080P and midway through i'd check the fire tv storage it would keep dropping until i stopped the movie and cleared the cache using an addon general maintenance app.
Does the AFTV andorid platform not have the ability to relocate the video cache?
Right now my folder pair settings is as follows:
source:
Data/data/org.xbmc.kodi
destination:
/mnt/shell/emulated/0/usbStorage/sda/XBMC_Cache
i also have
source:
/data/data/org.xbmc.kodi/cache
destination:
/mnt/shell/emulated/0/usbStorage/sda/XMBC_Cache_folder
none of these work and just checking how everyone is running 1080p movies or any stream in general without using internal memory?
I've reverted my cachemembuffersize back to default, giving about 60MB of cache for use. when setting to 0, it was great to see 1080p / 720p movies without having to buffer. TIA
