[Q] Possible to compile 4.2.2 for FLO topic

As the title says, would it be possible to compile Android 4.2.2 for the Nexus 7 (2013)?

It seems that I can't download drivers from the Nexus drivers page that are compatible with 4.2, as the device was originally released with Android 4.3, meaning that Google didn't have a need to make 4.2 drivers for the device.

You're probably wondering why I want an older version of the OS (4.2) instead of something newer... Well, the reason is simple - less restrictions. Ever since the introduction of Android 4.3, security has been a right pain in the behind. Permissions were set on specific user mount points (i.e. /mnt/sdcard, /media etc), meaning that root applications that are no longer in development (such as Network Spoofer) are rendered useless because they fail to operate. Not only are mount points an issue, but superuser has been too! Sure, I could just keep using Super SU's daemon solution which is used in 4.3+>, but I just prefer to use the ClockworkMod Superuser application instead - although that too works on 4.3+ (sometimes... xD).

I don't want restrictions on my mounts, which breaks apps and I don't like the idea of a daemon handling requests (I don't know why I don't like it - I just don't. Probably an OCD thing, I dunno). Android 4.2 was always my "sweet spot" as it never failed on me when I owned the original Nexus 7 (2012) - which is broken now (it wouldn't always boot and would go into some odd flash mode. It didn't always charge and it just kept having various problems. I ended up throwing it - smashing the screen. I wouldn't recommend replacing the LCD either - quality replacement parts aren't easy to find).

So, simply put - anyone have any advice for compiling 4.2 for this tablet? I have no idea where to begin. Neither am I bothered about the "webview exploit" what 4.2 is vulnerable to.

Thanks in advance! ;)
